In 2000, a UK woman named Claire began experiencing numbness, swelling and paralysis. She was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis (MS) at the age of 19.
There is no cure for MS, but doctors put Claire on a strict regime of medications to lessen her weakness and vision problems. Five months later, Claire returned to work knowing another MS attack could strike at any moment.
And just when she gave up all hope for a normal romantic relationship, she met a co-worker named Paul. Things were going well for Claire. She fell in love. Her MS went into remission.
